The wind blows, the sun shines, the rain pours, the snow dusts, the fall brings ease, and spring energy. The seasons and nature coincide with one another. All on purpose. All with a plan. Designed immaculately for their purpose. Plants and tress, birds and animals, life – creatures – bugs, reptiles, mammals, fish – they all adhere to the natural ways the seasons move. They adapt. And sometimes they fail, but they supply the nutrients for the next generation. There’s a purpose. There’s a movement forward. They all show up in their authentic ways.
A fig tree doesn’t try to produce pears, a grapevine doesn’t try to produce olives. A cactus doesn’t require a lot of hydration, and the rainforest can sustain the humid conditions. Authenticity can be viewed in nature as a beautiful condition in which all of Earth moves in harmony on a well-designed plan. When we as humans come into this world we move to this movement. Our natural conditions – born with no clothes and we know how to breathe and eat. It is an incredible experience to grow a human inside of this wonderfully made body of mine. It is truly the greatest gift on this Earth and the most magnificent role I will ever play in my life. The formation of human life and watching a body who developed from a young age grow into a woman that produced such wonderful fruit of the Earth as part of God’s plan.
As humans we are a part of God’s most amazing creation, in fact, being made in God’s image and having dominion over the world, allows humans to be in the most pivotal point of authenticity. Being designed each unique with free will is like a beautiful plant created for the most wonderful seasons; however, the challenge of it all is that when we really don’t know who we are and what does it mean showing up as authentic. How do we know what to do with this life? There are so many options. There are so many freedoms. Wouldn’t it be easier to be a duck that knows how to fly north and south each year and eat off the land? Wouldn’t it be more freeing to be a tree that goes through the cycles of the year and produce the most wonderful leaves – each leaf being a piece of art in of itself.
We were given more. We were given the keys to a life of abundance. Ones that allow us to choose and move. Ones that allow us to love with our whole heart. Ones that give us full control. Yet, we question how we show up and who we show up for. We don’t understand where our true north is.
However, the beauty is that our Creator designed us specifically for these questions. He knew that we would come to a point in our life where we ask the true question of who am I authentically to be. For some of us this happens early on and others not so much. The only way to question and be brought an answer is to be centered. To be open. To allow receiving. To surrender. And the only way to do any of these, is to decide. Decide that God has an enormous plan for my unique life, and I will allow Him to bring me on that journey.
The question in life becomes about the difficulties and the struggles. Relationships. Friendships. Loved Ones. Acquaintances. Those we encounter. Other people create the struggles in how we show up as our own self. The influence, whether or not we admit they have an influence or not, they do. Control being different than influence. Control being that someone is making me act a certain way or wear a certain item. Influence meaning this is who I become when I around this or that person, good or bad. It should be noted that the person causing the influence has no control of the authenticity of you. You only have that control, and it’s by the power of the Holy Spirit, in how you are able to be open to reveal your authentic self in each and every circumstance.
When you invite the Holy Spirit into your heart and mind, you are inviting God in to allowing you to show up as you. You are able to love in the way God called you to love. You are able to show others God’s light and ability to share His love. When you are able to show up with authenticity, you have no apologies to give. You are able to speak with conviction and freedom, and give in a way that you expect nothing in return. It’s a freedom of allowing God to move in your life in such a way that puts you in alignment with Heaven and the peace He created on Earth. It’s a life lived with purpose and determination, and allowing the fruits of the Spirit to bring joy and satisfaction. Fulfilling the natural way of life. Bringing others to the feet of Jesus. Allowing others to show up in their authentic way.
The walls of the every day life come shattering down and you are able to love fully and give openly.
It’s a life of hands open to Heaven and being present in the moment.
As the trees blow in the air, birds chirp, rain washes, sun beams the glorious heat, flowers bloom, plants are harvested, babies are born, miracles happen in the every day. Allowing God to use every creation to His purpose awaiting us all – a Heaven filled of glorious peace and love. A world of no evil and pain – one of pure harmony. God created us for pure harmony, and by the love of giving His only son He paid the price for us to rest in eternity in such a beautifully designed kingdom.
Finding your authentic self doesn’t have to be difficult, but it is a decision. It is one that is made with Christ in the center of your life. It is one with arms raised to Heaven and a heart that is open to new paths ahead. In order to decide to be open, you have to decide to receive wholeheartedly. Then you can give yourself authentically to all of those you come in contact with, and being influenced solely by the Holy Spirit.
May the love and peace of God be with you always and forever,
Amen.
